Mary Elizabeth (M.E.) for short, is a developmental psychologist, psychotherapist and writer specializing in the areas of parenting and early childhood development. M.E. is particularly interested in helping parents to understand how to support their young children through challenging (albeit, normal) social-emotional issues such as temper tantrums, separation anxiety and aggression. As a psychotherapist, behavior consultant and group facilitator, M.E. draws on her background in meditation, self-regulation and self-compassion to teach parents how to respond to their young children’s behaviors with empathy and understanding rather than with punishment. M.E. also works as a product and content consultant to early childhood development and mental health technology companies.
