Gemma's Story
Why she became a sleep consultant
Becoming a sleep consultant wasn’t something I had originally planned. My career had been firmly rooted in health and medical education, but after becoming a parent myself, sleep suddenly became a subject I couldn’t stop thinking about.
Like so many parents, I discovered just how much a child’s sleep can affect the entire family, and how confusing it can be to sort genuinely useful advice from all the conflicting information out there.
That experience sparked a much bigger interest in the science and development behind children’s sleep. I wanted to understand not only how to improve sleep, but why difficulties happen in the first place and how approaches can be adapted to suit different children and families. Eventually that fascination grew into a complete career change.
"What I still enjoy most is taking something that feels overwhelming to a tired family, working out what is really going on, and turning it into a practical plan that feels manageable and achievable."
How we work with families
Evidence-based, not trend-based
Plans are backed by science and support is adapted to your child. Every recommendation is rooted in peer-reviewed pediatric sleep research.
Flexible, family-centered methods
There's no single approach for sleep. Our consultants work with your parenting values and comfort level, so the plan feels just right.
Education over prescription
We help you understand the plan, not just follow it. You get the "why" behind each step, so you can respond with confidence.
