Lindsey's Story
Why she became a sleep consultant
My journey into sleep consulting began with my own experience of sleep deprivation. When my first daughter was born, she struggled with reflux and allergies and would wake every 45–90 minutes throughout the night. I was exhausted and constantly questioning whether I was doing something wrong.
Eventually, I reached out for support and saw first-hand what a difference the right guidance could make — not just to my daughter’s sleep, but to our whole family. That experience sparked my passion for helping other parents who were feeling just as exhausted and overwhelmed.
As my daughter grew older, I began to face a different set of challenges as I learned more about her neurodivergence. Her sleep needs, sensory differences and anxiety gave me a much deeper understanding of just how complex children’s sleep can be, and how important it is to look beyond sleep itself when trying to understand what is making it difficult. This eventually led me to specialise in supporting neurodivergent and anxious children with their sleep, alongside my work supporting babies and young children more generally.
My background in teaching has also shaped the way I work. I love understanding the why behind sleep challenges and finding practical, realistic ways to support families.
"For me, sleep support is about giving parents the knowledge and confidence to understand their child’s sleep and make changes that work for their family."
I’m also really proud to be part of the Huckleberry team — helping parents feel more confident and reassured when sleep gets difficult.

There's no single approach for sleep. Our consultants work with your parenting values and comfort level, so the plan feels just right.
Education over prescription
